Job summary

CAPTRUST in Leawood, Kansas is seeking a part-time Accountant to manage full cycle accounting for the Leawood advisory team and clients. You will prepare financial statements, process accounts payable and receivable, and oversee month-end close with accuracy and integrity.

The role requires 3+ years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and excellent communication. Not remote; up to 20 hours per week with company benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of accounting and/or bookkeeping experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledgers and reconcile balance monthly for team and clients.
• Prepare rent and facility invoices monthly.
• Prepare annual tax and insurance true up annually.
• Obtain tax and return preparation information.
• Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual cash-flow reports and financial statements.
• Track income and expenses; manage payroll processed by third party vendor.
• Coordinate salary and bonus increases with HR.
