Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a Part-Time Security Officer in Sumter, SC to provide client support at a chemical/petrochemical site. You will control access, verify credentials, monitor safety procedures and respond to incidents.

This role offers flexible scheduling via our Claim a Shift platform, competitive pay of $14.00 per hour, and opportunities for growth within a supportive, values-driven team.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles (21+ for armed).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required; driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Control access to the facility by verifying credentials and maintaining visitor records.
• Monitor access-control systems, alarms and cameras; report irregular conditions and access attempts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and other critical situations following emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, buildings and perimeter, documenting observations.
