Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a part-time Security Officer Electronic Access Control in Smithfield, VA. You will manage site entry, verify credentials, and help maintain a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and vendors.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is preferred.
• First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as per law.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific access control procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, screen visitors and vehicles, issue visitor passes, and maintain entry/exit records.
• Control access to restricted production, warehouse, shipping, receiving, and admin areas according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate contacts and responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points and parking areas to deter unauthorized activity.
