Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Electronic Access Control in Vance, AL to provide reliable security services with fixed anchor shifts and optional additional shifts through the Earn‑A‑Shift program.

Pay rate is $17.50 per hour. The role offers flexible scheduling, potential to progress to full‑time, and comprehensive benefits through Allied Universal. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma and background check processing.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at an automotive facility by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Control access to the location by verifying identification, visitor authorization, contractor credentials, and delivery documentation in accordance with site requirements.
• Monitor entry and exit points, maintain accurate visitor and vehicle logs, issue access credentials as authorized, and report access‑related discrepancies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, business operations, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
