Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Entry Control) in Greenwood, SC. You will manage access points, verify credentials, and assist visitors while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue and collect visitor passes, and maintain accurate access-control logs in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-control alarms, unauthorized entry attempts, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Communicate clearly with site contacts, employees, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership regarding access concerns, incidents, and policy questions.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated technology, media, and telecommunications facility areas and perimeter, documenting observations and reporting maintenance or security-related concerns.
