Job summary

Brightmont Academy is seeking a Part Time Academic Success Coach to provide one-to-one instruction in a flexible schedule with no lesson planning or outside work. The role focuses on supervising the Homework Studio, motivating students, and supporting executive function skills in a one-to-one setting.

This position requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject, patient and empathetic teaching style, proficiency with G-Suite and LMS, and the ability to obtain fingerprints/background check in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in your subject area (English, Social Studies, History, Government, Economics) or related field.
• Patience and empathy to support students who learn differently.
• Heart for teaching and passion to share subjects with students.
• Proficiency with G-Suite and Learning Management Software (LMS).
• Ability to pass fingerprints and background check (AZ, WA).

Responsibilities

• Oversee students in Homework Studio and motivate them to complete tasks.
• Provide one-to-one tutoring sessions without extra lesson planning or grading.
• Support development of executive function skills and independent study habits.

Part Time Academic Success Coach

Flexible Schedule | No Lesson Planning or Outside Work | One-to-One Instruction
$22-23/hour

The Homework Studio is independent learning time to supplement time spent in one-to-one instruction sessions where students have access to computers and a quiet work area. This supervised study lab offers the opportunity for students to complete coursework-related assignments, practice good study habits and build executive function skills, and/or sit for exams. The Homework Studio coach is responsible for overseeing students in Homework Studio and for motivating them to complete tasks.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree in your subject area (English, Social Studies, History, Government, Economics—anything that fuels your passion!)
• Patience & Empathy: You understand that every student learns differently, and you’re committed to supporting them every step of the way.
• Heart for Teaching: A genuine passion to share your subject with the next generation.
• Proficiency using G-Suite and Learning Management Software (LMS)
• Ability to provide fingerprints (AZ, WA, only) and pass a federal background check.
