Brightmont Academy in Phoenix, AZ, seeks a Part Time Academic Success Coach to support students from 1st to 12th grade in a one-to-one instruction model. Flexible schedule, no lesson planning, or outside work, and compensation at $22-23/hour.

The Homework Studio provides independent learning time with access to computers and a quiet workspace. The coach oversees students, motivates task completion, and helps build study habits and executive function skills while exams may be completed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a subject area (English, Social Studies, History, Government, Economics—anything that fuels your passion).
• Patience & Empathy: understand that every student learns differently and support them.
• A Heart for Teaching: genuine passion to share your subject with the next generation.
• Proficiency using G-Suite and Learning Management Software (LMS).
• Ability to provide fingerprints (AZ, WA, only) and pass a federal background check.

The Homework Studio is independent learning time to supplement time spent in one-to-one instruction sessions where students have access to computers and a quiet work area. This supervised study lab offers the opportunity for students to complete coursework-related assignments, practice good study habits and build executive function skills, and/or sit for exams. The Homework Studio coach is responsible for overseeing students in Homework Studio and for motivating them to complete tasks.
