Monroe Charter Academy is seeking an energetic Interventionist in Waxhaw, North Carolina to provide targeted literacy and math interventions. You will support teachers, coordinate with staff, and help identified students reach reading goals.

The role emphasizes data-informed instruction, collaboration with families, and adherence to privacy laws (FERPA). Bachelor’s degree preferred and a part-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of foundations in research-based practices and strategies in literacy, including theories/models/research and best practices.
• Knowledge and skills in differentiated instruction based on student learning styles.
• Knowledge and skills in implementing, monitoring, and evaluating reading intervention support
• Knowledge of collecting, analyzing, and maintaining student data, and forming data-based action plans.
• Knowledge of FERPA and related education privacy laws.

Responsibilities

• Supports teachers in implementing the literacy and math curriculum.
• Coordinates with administrators to provide targeted interventions for at-risk students.
• Provides interventions to improve reading proficiency.
• Maintains accurate records for RtI process focused on Reading.
• Maintains a safe and positive learning environment.
