Job summary

FEAM Aero is seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Technician to perform line maintenance on various customers' aircraft in the Los Angeles area. The role involves on-call and scheduled work, airworthiness releases, and ensuring all tasks comply with FAA regulations.

Ideal candidates hold an FAA A&P license with 2+ years in line maintenance, possess a valid driver’s license, and are able to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

Job Duties

• Perform line maintenance (on-call and scheduled) work on various customers' aircraft.
• Perform routine maintenance and airworthiness releases (within the scope of approval) returning aircraft to service.
• Responsible for servicing, inspecting, and maintaining aircraft, aircraft engines, and associated components; effectively performs work to meet deadlines and performance goals.
• Troubleshoot systems; disassemble, repair, and reassemble sections and components to maintain fully functioning equipment according to Approved Technical Data provided by the customer.
• Ensure all departing aircraft are safe in accordance with FARs and the air carrier/manufacturer manuals and all work performed is properly documented.
• Perform line maintenance duties, activities, and maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Collaborate and communicate with the air carrier’s maintenance control center as required.
• Troubleshoots to determine malfunctions on aircraft avionics components and electrical systems components, such as airborne navigation/communication systems, weather radar, autopilot, compass systems, and accessories component level.
• Uses all mandated safety equipment and complies with all safety requirements in accordance with company and government regulations and guidelines.
• Completes all checklists, forms, and reports as required in accordance with the company, government, and FAA regulations and guidelines.
• Participates in on-the-job training with onsite personnel.
• Test and troubleshoot instruments, components, and assemblies, using circuit testers or voltmeters.
• Keep and maintain records of maintenance and repair work.
• Lay out installation of aircraft assemblies and systems, following documentation such as blueprints, manuals, and wiring diagrams.

Basic Qualifications

• Must have a current valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant License.
• 2+ years’ experience in recent line maintenance, emphasis on troubleshooting, daily and turn checks, and ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to frequently stand, walk, continually utilize hand and finger dexterity, climb, balance, bend, or crawl, occasionally from heights in precarious places.
• Ability to frequently lift/push/carry items up to 50 pounds; awareness of working near moving mechanical parts, around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals, and exposed to loud noises.
• Utilize visual acuity to operate equipment and read technical information.
• Be exposed to weather conditions outside as well as non-weather conditions such as extreme heat or cold.
• Must be able to read and write English.
• Must pass airport security background checks and travel for work as required.
• Must be willing to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends, to meet customer demand.
• Must be able to read and interpret wiring diagrams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Highly skilled in aircraft avionics components and electrical systems.
• Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Customer-facing skills, ability to work with the flight crew and interact in a professional manner.
• Independent and self-motivated with the ability to work without direct supervision.
