Hillel Academy of Denver is seeking a passionate Part-Time 2nd Grade Teacher for an afternoon position. You will work with a small group of four girls being partially integrated with the next grade, aiming to accelerate learning for full integration by year end.

You will plan engaging lessons, assess progress, foster an inclusive classroom, and maintain open communication with parents while pursuing ongoing professional development to keep teaching practices current.

Qualifications

• Ability to plan engaging, standards-aligned lessons for 2nd grade (K-12 standards).
• Capacity to assess progress and adapt instruction to meet diverse needs.
• Create an inclusive, supportive classroom that fosters curiosity and growth.
• Regularly communicate student progress and goals to families.
• Engage in professional development to refine teaching practices in elementary education.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons for 2nd-grade students, aligned with our school's culture and standards
• Assess student progress, track student achievement, and adjust instruction to meet the needs of each learner
• Develop and maintain a supportive and inclusive classroom environment, encouraging active participation, critical thinking, and creativity
• Communicate regularly with parents, keeping them informed of student progress and goals
• Participate in professional development opportunities to improve teaching skills and stay current with best practices
