Job summary

AutoZone’s Store Management team drives store performance, fosters a productive team, and ensures exceptional customer service. Managers and MITs play a key leadership role, expected to Live The Pledge and deliver WOW! Customer Service while executing store operations with excellence.

Under the Store Manager’s guidance, MITs lead by example, demonstrating initiative and strong leadership. As a Parts Sales Manager, you’ll lead sales performance, foster a high‑performing team, and ensure WOW!

Qualifications

  • Leadership demonstrated with integrity and decision‑making abilities.
  • Full‑time schedule including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
  • Bilingual Spanish and English preferred.
  • Automotive retail experience and ASE certification.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and develop high‑performing employees under the Store Manager.
  • Maintain clear communication with customers and staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Monitor sales goals, inventory accuracy, and performance standards.
  • Follow store procedures, manage inventory, cash handling, shrink control, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with commercial department leaders for timely deliveries.
  • Drive sales targets and optimize inventory levels and merchandising.
  • Enforce PPE and safety standards and promote risk management practices.
  • Support in managing commercial accounts and hub departments.
  • Resolve customer concerns and store issues in a timely manner.

  • Leadership – Assist the Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing high-performing employees, fostering a motivated and engaged team.
  • Communication – Maintain clear, effective interactions with both customers and employees, ensuring smooth store operations and positive experiences.
  • Metrics Mindedness – Monitor sales goals, inventory accuracy, and performance standards to drive business success.
  • Process Orientation – Follow structured store procedures, manage inventory, oversee cash handling, control shrink and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Teamwork – Work collaboratively with store staff and commercial department leaders to maintain seamless operations and customer service excellence.
  • Parts Sales & Inventory Management – Lead efforts to exceed sales targets, optimize inventory levels, and ensure timely returns processing and merchandising.
  • Safety & Compliance – Enforce PPE use, promote risk management practices, and uphold company safety standards.
  • Commercial Account Support – Assist in managing commercial and hub departments to support timely deliveries and customer needs.
  • Problem Solving – Resolve customer concerns and store operational issues swiftly, always upholding company policies.
