Job summary

Empire Airlines in Billings seeks an experienced Part 121 captain with ATP/MEL and First-Class Medical to lead flight operations. You will command the aircraft, ensure safety, and manage crew in accordance with FAA and company rules.

Expect to monitor weather, plan fuel and routes, supervise staff, maintain regulatory knowledge, and coordinate with Dispatch and air traffic control to uphold Empire's safety-first mission.

Qualifications

• ATP with MEL rating and First-Class Medical are required.
• Current IFR currency and proficiency.
• Ability to meet FAA/DOT Drug & Alcohol requirements.

Responsibilities

• Exercise command and ensure safe, efficient operation of the aircraft throughout all phases of flight.
• Monitor weather, flight conditions, and cargo safety; verify go/no-go decisions, fuel needs, loading, and alternates.
• Make timely operational decisions, including alternate-destination selections when required.
• Maintain clear, effective communication with stations, towers, flight controllers, and Dispatch.
• File required FAA reports; promptly report unusual aircraft behavior or performance to Dispatch or Maintenance.
• Accurately record flight hours with Dispatch; comply with FAA rest requirements and company directives.
• Supervise and evaluate staff; act as a positive, constructive, and communicative leader.
• Stay current on regulatory and procedural updates; maintain thorough knowledge of company manuals, handbooks, and policies.
• Review daily bulletins, correspondence, emails, and voicemails; submit transmittals, expense reports, and documentation accurately and on time.
• Model ethical, professional conduct and support Empire Airlines' mission; perform other related duties as assigned.
