Job summary

City of Hillsboro is seeking a Parks and Recreation Laborer to perform maintenance and support park operations. Duties include operating trucks and equipment for repair, maintenance, and construction of parks, mowing, trimming, and landscape care, and coordinating volunteer work for events.

This full-time, non-exempt position requires a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years of maintenance or construction experience, plus a valid Ohio driver’s license. Safety and attendance are essential.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of maintenance or construction experience.
• Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks and equipment for park repair, maintenance, and construction.
• Mow lawns, trim plants, and maintain flower beds and trails.
