The Town of Blackstone is seeking a dependable and motivated individual to fill the position of Parks Laborer within the Parks and Recreation Department. This is a full-time union position that performs a variety of labor and maintenance duties for town parks and recreational facilities.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks in public parks including mowing, trimming, weeding, and cleaning.
• Carry out custodial duties in public restrooms and empty trash receptacles.
• Assist with minor carpentry, fence, and bench repairs.
• Operate hand and power tools, lawn equipment, and light trucks.
• Participate in seasonal tasks such as snow shoveling, salting, raking, and planting.
• Follow all safety protocols and ensure equipment is properly maintained.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year of landscape maintenance or related experience.
• Ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions.
• Valid State Driver’s License (required); CDL preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

May operate a variety of tools and equipment on a limited basis.
