Job summary

Gfoat is seeking a Parks Maintenance Worker to perform routine semi-skilled and skilled duties in the maintenance and repair of parks, grounds, and recreation facilities. Under supervision, you will help keep the Town’s landscapes healthy and safe for residents.

You will operate lawn mowers, tractors, irrigation systems, and a range of hand tools; repair playgrounds, benches, restrooms, and other public structures; help prepare athletic fields and assist with events.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Landscape/maintenance experience or equivalent preferred.
• Texas Class C Driver's License with clean driving record.
• Certified Playground Inspector certificate is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate motorized landscape equipment and hand tools safely.
• Repair and maintain playground equipment, benches, restrooms, and facilities.
• Prepare athletic fields and municipal grounds; assist with irrigation repair.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and complete daily reports.
• Clean parks, collect litter, and support special events.
