Job summary

The Town of Apex is seeking a landscape and grounds maintenance worker to keep parks and greenways well-kept at 2200 Laura Duncan Road, Apex, NC. You’ll perform mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, and debris removal following turf management guidelines to keep our spaces inviting and safe.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of experience. The role reports to the Athletic & Grounds Supervisor and has no supervisory responsibilities. Closing date: Sept 2, 2026.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in landscape/grounds maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Mow, weed eat, prune and trim at parks and greenways.
• Report safety concerns and perform basic equipment maintenance.
• Set up for events and assist with large projects.
• Assist with storm cleanup and debris removal.
• Support other teams on larger projects.
