Job summary

Shawano Parks & Recreation Department in Shawano, WI, is seeking a Parks & Facilities Operations Manager to plan, organize and supervise the parks maintenance crews, oversee daily upkeep of city parks, facilities and grounds, and ensure safe, clean park environments for residents.

Under the direction of the Park & Recreation Director, the role also manages maintenance of all City-owned buildings including the Recreation Center, City Hall and Cemetery Chapel.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Post-secondary education in a related field preferred.
• Five to seven years of experience in maintenance operations, project management and employee supervision preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes and supervises staff and operations of parks maintenance crews.
• Oversees regular maintenance of City Parks, park facilities, lawns and grounds.

Job Description

With the administrative direction of the Park & Recreation Director, this position plans, organizes and supervises the staff and operations of the parks maintenance work crews; supervises regular maintenance of City Parks, park facilities, lawns, grounds, cemetery and other cultivated areas in the city; assures safe and clean park facilities are provided for residents. This position also oversees maintenance of all City owned buildings. These include but are not limited to the Recreation Center, City Hall, Civic Center, Rental properties and Cemetery Chapel.

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Post-secondary education in a related field is preferred.
• Five to Seven years of experience in maintenance operations, project management and employee supervision is preferred

Salary/Salary Range
Anticipated Starting wage is $29.98 per hour. Maximum wage of this position is $37.47 per hour.
