Job summary

Community Health Network in Anderson, IN seeks a Fitness Instructor Specialist to support Rock Steady Boxing for patients with Parkinson’s. This role focuses on adaptable fitness coaching, building relationships with participants and delivering instruction across two locations, Anderson and Pendleton.

The ideal candidate has general fitness education, comfort working with adults with mobility limitations, and a willingness to learn Parkinson’s programming. No weekends; 8:00am-4:30pm schedule.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Ability to use a computer for documentation.
• Strong written, verbal and nonverbal interpersonal and professional communication skills.
• Demonstrates accountability for own actions.
• Provides service in a willing and courteous manner.
• Demonstrates ability to prioritize, organize and multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Coaching or assisting Rock Steady Boxing classes for patients with Parkinson’s.
• Creating Parkinson’s-focused workouts and adapting activities for varied mobility levels.
• Working across Anderson and Pendleton locations and collaborating with the care team.
