Home Instead in DeKalb, IL is seeking one to two dedicated caregivers to assist seniors living with Parkinson's Disease in their homes. You will provide personal care, support daily living activities, and help create a safe, comfortable environment.

We are looking for one to two dedicated caregivers with experience helping individuals living with Parkinson's Disease to provide exceptional support to our senior clients in their homes, particularly supporting and assisting them with their personal care needs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting individuals with daily living activities, managing behaviors, and ensuring a safe & comfortable environment. This role requires a strong understanding of patient care, specifically Parkinson's Disease, and the ability to work effectively in a home care setting. We operate on a two week schedule, allowing consistent care for the clients. This role will require more hands-on assistance with all personal care, including more lifting assistance from time to time as needed.
Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle, with a willingness to transport clients as needed is a requirement. The travel expectation is that you can drive to a client as far west as Rochelle, south to Somonauk, east to Route 47 Elburn/Maple Park, and north to Pingree Grove.
All candidates must successfully pass both a federal criminal background check and motor vehicle report.
Additionally, all candidates must be eligible under the Illinois Department of Public Health's Healthcare Worker Registry. If you are not already deemed eligible by IDPH, then you will need to have your fingerprints scanned by a third-party vendor, at the expense of the employer. If you are need fingerprinting completed, the employer will notify you and help coordinate this appointment.
All candidates must perform drug screening during new hire training. Drug screening is done in the office at the expense of the employer.
