Job description

Kansas Speedway, located in Kansas City, Kansas, is seeking parking attendants with great attitudes and customer service to join our Parking Services team. Parking attendants will direct guest traffic safely to designated parking spots and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Evaluate parking area to ensure optimal utilization
• Maintain safety of all guests on inbound traffic as well as exiting guests safely off the property
• Ensure compliance to safety regulations and company policies
• Ensure traffic flow and parking allows for access of emergency vehicles
• Maintain knowledge of facility and event, i.e., providing directions and answering event questions
• Assist with clean-up of debris from parking lots when needed
• Utilize hand signals, flags and lights to direct guests into open spots
• Position and move barricades, cones and signage as needed
• Manage and resolve guest questions while providing excellent customer service
• Communicate with management regarding guests violating rules or suspicious activity
• Cell phone usage is not allowed while directing traffic

Qualifications

• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older
• Requires the ability to walk long distances and stand for the entire shift
• Must be able to work in all-weather elements including windy, muddy, rainy, snow, sleet and extreme temperatures
• Must be able to commit to the entire shift of work time
• Must possess the ability to lift up to 25 pounds to move cones and barricades
• Individuals driving rental vehicles and/or golf carts must possess a valid driver’s license and pass a motor vehicle record review inspection
