Job summary

Meijer is hiring cart attendants to keep the store area clean and organized while assisting customers. You will move carts, manage trash, and support various store areas to ensure a smooth shopping experience.

The role requires physical activity and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with opportunities for growth and development within a family-owned retailer.

Responsibilities

• Cart attendants ferry shopping carts from outside to inside the store.
• Coordinate and collect parking lot, lawn, and inside-store trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment to clear snow.
• Handle perishable and salvage returns.
• Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Collaborate with service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking areas.
• Work with departments across the store; other duties as assigned.

What You'll be Doing:

• Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinating and collecting of the parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for properly removing snow.
• Perishable and salvage returns.
• Basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Working with our service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Working with departments: Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
