Job summary

SP Plus Corporation in Honolulu, HI is seeking a part-time Attendant to assist drivers, direct parking, and keep the lot clean and presentable. Availability on Sundays and Mondays is required, with a pay rate of $17.00 per hour.

Responsibilities include guiding customers to spaces, counting vehicles, issuing warnings, patrolling levels, and assisting with maintenance under the Facility Manager's directions.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience Requirement: Less than High School education or one month related experience, training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• License Requirement: valid state‑issued driver’s license with a current address and acceptable driving record if driving a company vehicle or on company business.
• Availability to Work: Special shift requirements will vary; may require 2nd shift, 3rd shift and/or weekends.
• Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; present information in one‑on‑one situations.
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, two-digit numbers and multiply/divide with 10s and 100s; use units of American money.
• Appearance: Maintain neat and clean appearance and be in uniform at all times.
• Physical Demands: Standing, walking, handling cash and equipment; occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Direct incoming customers to available parking spaces.
• Count vehicles on location throughout shift, as needed.
• Write and issue violation warnings to tenants and visitors that violate garage policies.
• Patrol levels on foot or in motor carts, if applicable.
• Provide assistance to customers who have forgotten where they parked their vehicle.
• Be at work every scheduled day, on time and in uniform.
• Assist customers by answering questions or directing them to the Facility Manager for help.
• Control traffic at entrances and exits as needed.
• Assist in maintenance of parking equipment and general maintenance as directed by the Facility Manager.
• Report accidents, violations or safety hazards to the Facility Manager.
• Communicate debris, water, oil spills to the garage office.
• Substitute for Valets when necessary, if authorized.
• Learn the layout of the garage and major streets, landmarks and freeways in the area.
• Assist Facility Manager with other duties as needed.
