Job summary

ABM is seeking a professional valet attendant in Miami to deliver courteous guest services at the porte-cochère. You will coordinate traffic flow and clearly communicate valet procedures to guests, while assisting with loading and unloading of vehicles and safely handling keys.

You will also manage payments, reconcile daily revenue, and monitor parking to prevent improper state issues, working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate (written and verbally) in English; bilingual Spanish preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.
• Proficient in basic math and comfortable handling payments.
• Enjoy interacting with the general public and work well in a team.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate traffic flow and ensure smooth guest movement at the valet area.
• Communicate valet procedures, information and directions clearly to guests.
• Understand and respond to basic customer and team member inquiries.
• Monitor illegal parking and safely store vehicles as needed.
• Interact with guests in a friendly manner; assist with loading and unloading.
• Collect and secure guest keys and reconcile daily revenue.
• Receive and process a variety of valet payments accurately.
• Project currency and coin requirements and reorder as necessary.
• Operate, park and retrieve vehicles safely while obeying traffic laws and policies.
• Work outdoors in all climates for extended periods; keep the work area clean.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate traffic flow


• Communicate valet procedure, information and directions clearly and effectively with guests.


• Understand and respond appropriately to basic customer and team member inquiries.


• Monitor illegal parking, and immediately store vehicles.


• Interact with guests in a friendly manner • Assist guests with loading and unloading


• Collect and secure guest keys


• Predict and communicate traffic flow peaks and lot issues


• Identify and arrange for extra support for extended wait times.


• Accurately tally and split the tip pool


• Receive and receipt a variety of valet payments


• Accurately reconcile and report daily revenue
  
• Project currency and coin requirements and re-order as necessary.


• Operate, park and retrieve all vehicles in a safe manner by obeying all traffic laws, Facility policies, and applicable pedestrian regulations.


• Work in an outdoor unprotected environment in all climates for extended periods of time


• Keep work area clean of debris.

Qualifications

Required:

• Must be able to communicate (written and verbally) in English, Bilingual - Spanish preferred.


• Must be 21 years of age


• Must possess a valid driver’s license


• Must be able to operate both standard and automatic transmissions


• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.


• Excellent with basic Math


• Enjoy working with the general public


• Ability to work effectively as a team player
