Job summary

AdventHealth in Parker, Colorado is seeking a part-time Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our team. The role provides bedside patient care under RN supervision, following hospital policies and safety guidelines. Eligible for sign-on and a supportive work environment.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, BLS CPR certification, and CNA/CPCT/A or equivalent credential. Prior acute care experience is preferred, with a commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• High School graduation or equivalent required.
• 1+ year PCT experience preferred; bedside care in acute care setting advantageous.
• Licenses: BLS (CPR) required; CNA/CPCT/A/ NHA/NCPCT/ PCT-C certification alternatives required.

Responsibilities

• Performs treatments according to policy and procedure and provides patient care suitable for age, mobility, acuity, and culture.
• Assists in delivery of patient care under the direction of a registered nurse and participates in performance improvement activities.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment and communicates effectively with patients and healthcare team.

Job Description:

NEW HIRE SIGN-ON BONU ELIGIBLE UP TO $5000. PART-TIME DAYS

Performs treatments according to policy and procedure, providing patient care appropriate to age, mobility, acuity, and culture. Functions appropriately in clinical emergencies. Participates in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities and supports quality standards and initiatives. Follows prescribed isolation guidelines, demonstrates appropriate use of protective equipment, performs handwashing according to policy, and enforces safety regulations. Exhibits a desire to learn and upgrades skills continuously. Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Maintains a clean and safe environment for patients and staff. Assists in the delivery of patient care as a team member under the direction of a registered nurse. Documents and reports all procedures in accordance with department policy. Participates in obtaining a nursing history and reports abnormalities to the registered nurse. Assists in identifying patient needs Performs other duties as assigned.
