The Park Maintenance Worker for the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Bald Eagle State Park plays a key role in keeping the park welcoming and safe. This position lets you work outdoors while helping to maintain the beauty and function of park facilities. Every day brings new tasks that support visitors and protect natural spaces. It is a hands-on job where your efforts make a clear and positive impact.

This position supports the daily upkeep and repair of park buildings, grounds, and facilities. Work involves construction tasks, equipment care, and general maintenance across Bald Eagle State Park. As a Park Maintenance Worker, you will perform the following duties:

• Facility Repairs:Make repairs to park buildings and structures using basic trade tools
• Ground Maintenance:Maintain lawns, trails and outdoor areas by mowing, trimming, and cleaning
• Equipment Care:Clean and maintain vehicles and equipment used throughout the park
• Marina Support:Assist with installation and repair of marina systems and courtesy docks
• Construction Tasks:Build forms, mix cement and complete simple masonry work
• Visitor Assistance:Provide helpful information and support to park visitors

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• This is a seasonal, full-time position with no healthcare benefits. There is not an option to buy into health care benefits. The season runs from approximately March 2026 until November 2026 at which time the employee will be placed on leave without pay. The employee will automatically be returned to employment March 2027.
• Employee will work 37.5 hours/5 days per week to include holidays and weekends. Days and shifts will vary.
• Overtime and travel may be required

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.
