Job summary

National Park Service in Saint Marys, Georgia seeks a Maintenance Worker (Seasonal) to perform recurring building and utility maintenance and assist journeymen across trades.

You will repair buildings, install and replace doors, hardware, plumbing and electrical components, and perform masonry work on historic sites, with duties requiring the use of common hand tools and equipment. This is a seasonal, wage-grade position with a pay range listed on USAJOBS.

Qualifications

• Work requires knowledge in several trades and crafts.
• No substitution of education for experience for Wage Grade positions.
• Experience in building maintenance is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs to buildings and quarters.
• Constructs, installs, repairs and replaces doors, shelves, hardware, trim and cabinets.
• Patches roofs and repairs plumbing fixtures and piping.
• Performs electrical repairs using hand tools.
• Performs masonry work on historic sites and contemporary structures.
• Operates and maintains vehicles to transport materials.
