Job summary

The State of Missouri's Department of Natural Resources is seeking a skilled maintenance worker to support Katy Trail State Park operations in Danville, MO. The role focuses on maintenance, facilities upkeep and grounds care, requiring hands-on trade skills and safe equipment operation.

Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with some weekends and holidays. A CDL may be required within six months, and there is a base salary with adjustments for years of service.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in electrical, plumbing, concrete and masonry, carpentry, painting, plastering, or mechanical repair.
• Equivalent education or experience may substitute for the required experience.
• Position may require CDL within six months if needed for duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of skilled maintenance work and repair of state buildings and facilities.
• Work in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, concrete, masonry, painting, plastering and mechanical repair.
• Conduct routine cleaning of park buildings, restrooms and grounds.
• Operate mowers, tractors, skid loaders, trucks, chainsaws, leaf blowers and similar equipment.
• May supervise a maintenance crew and work weekends or holidays as needed.
• Possess valid vehicle operator's license and obtain CDL if required.
