Job summary

Williamson County in Georgetown, TX is seeking a Park Maintenance Technician I-III to perform custodial, maintenance, and groundskeeping duties across River Ranch Park, Berry Springs Park, Southwest Regional Park, or Williamson County Expo Center.

You will operate a range of equipment, perform preventative maintenance, ensure safety, assist in inventory, and provide excellent information and customer service to park visitors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or ability to obtain within twelve (12) months of employment.
• One year of related work experience or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Demonstrated skill and ability in grounds maintenance, basic landscaping, and basic plumbing.

Responsibilities

• Perform general day to day custodial, maintenance, and groundskeeping duties within an assigned location.
• Operate a variety of motorized equipment and hand-held tools.
• Perform equipment preventative maintenance.
• Maintain plants, mow, trim, and landscape lawns and gardens.
• Assist in inventory control and may handle payments/balancing cash drawers.
• Provide customer service and information to park visitors regarding parks operations and rules.
• Identify and report safety hazards; assist in safety improvements.
• Manage volunteer groups and coordinate activities as needed.
• Attend required trainings and meetings.
