Job summary

San Joaquin County’s Parks & Recreation Department seeks a Landscape Architect to plan and design park developments, prepare CAD drawings, and develop cost estimates for landscape, buildings, and recreation facilities.

The role requires coordination with staff, private consultants, contractors and public officials to ensure compliant and timely completion of projects in central California.

Qualifications

• Principles, practices, and materials used in landscape architecture, park construction, and engineering; CAD software used for designs and cost estimates.
• Understand land use regulations and environmental reports; ability to manage projects and grants.

Responsibilities

• Organize and coordinate the planning, design, and construction activities of park development projects.
• Prepare sketches and CAD drawings for parks and recreation areas; develop work schedules and reports.
