Job summary

The Catholic Diocese of Columbus seeks a part-time Coordinator of Parish and School Communications to manage media for the parish and its school, ensuring unified messaging in line with church teachings and diocesan guidelines. You will bridge parish ministries and school families while balancing weekly publication deadlines.

You will design bulletins, manage social platforms, and coordinate school marketing campaigns, with a focus on engaging the community and maintaining privacy standards.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience managing digital platforms, copy editing, or graphic design.
• High proficiency with Canva, Microsoft Office/Publisher, or Adobe Creative Suite.
• CMS navigation experience and familiarity with school/parish communication tools.

Responsibilities

• Weekly parish bulletin design, writing, editing and submission.
• Draft weekend mass announcements and seasonal flyers.
• Coordinate school and parish sacramental notices and events.
• Maintain parish and school websites and calendars.
• Schedule and post content on Facebook and Instagram.
• Design and distribute weekly e-newsletters (e.g., Flocknote).
• Create promotional materials for school events and open houses.
• Source or capture photos/videos from liturgies and events.
• Ensure compliance with Safe Environment policies.
