Job summary

The Coordinator of Religious Education at Sacred Heart Church-Uvalde will implement parish catechetical programs for all ages in collaboration with the Director of Religious Education. The role involves evening/weekend work, on-site presence, and maintaining student records and communications with families.

The ideal candidate is a practicing Catholic, bilingual in English and Spanish, with CRE or parish admin experience and a background in Theology or related studies.

Qualifications

• Active member of a Roman Catholic parish faith community.
• Bachelor's degree and/or undergraduate work in Theology preferred.
• Catechesis or extensive parish experience as CRE preferred.
• Bilingual – English and Spanish.
• Three years of parish and/or administrative office experience preferred.
• Proven experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) or similar programs.

Responsibilities

• Administer parish catechetical program for all ages.
• Assist Director of Religious Education with administration and records.
• Coordinate weekly bulletin communications for faith formation.
• Coordinate sacramental preparation and liturgical input.
• Supervise catechists and volunteers; recruit helpers.
• Develop budgets and yearly calendars for Faith Formation.
