Job summary

Diocese of Austin is seeking a Church Housekeeper to provide comprehensive cleaning across St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church campus, including the church, parish hall, offices, RE buildings, and exterior areas.

You will work under supervision to maintain a clean, respectful environment for worship and community activities. The role requires at least 1 year of cleaning experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work mornings or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

Education and Trainings: High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
Experience: One year of experience working in a related field.
Catholic Requirement: Must be a practicing Roman Catholic in good standing.

Responsibilities

As an integral part of your ministry for the Church, support the mission and uphold the values of the parish in daily duties.
Perform general cleaning of church facilities, offices, classrooms, kitchens, restrooms, and exterior areas.
Clean between events, service trash and restroom needs, and assist with cleanup after parish activities.
Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE; report maintenance issues to supervisor.
Maintain cleanliness of housekeeping closets and perform other duties as assigned.
