Job summary

DHL eCommerce is seeking a Package Handler to efficiently process and sort mail and parcels, ensuring labels are printed and placed accurately. The role follows all processing procedures to maintain quality and accuracy.

Responsibilities include sorting, meeting targets, inspecting labels for accuracy, operating sorting machinery, scanning labels, and keeping the workspace clean. Physical work and warehouse exposure are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent training and/or related experience preferred.
• Listen actively and execute verbal instructions effectively.
• Ability to sort alphabetically and numerically.
• Understand standardized math processes, e.g., count, addition, and subtraction.
• Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and maintain performance.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues to achieve common goals.

Responsibilities

• Sort and process all incoming mail and parcels, aligning with designated area requirements and maintaining high-quality standards.
• Ensure sorting and processing targets are met or exceeded consistently.
• Inspect each piece of mail to ensure the labels are affixed correctly and the zip code matches the address zip code.
• Operate sorting machinery and load boxes or bins, placing mail/parcels onto conveyors.
• Scan labels and maintain workstation.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area.
• Adapt to different operational areas as needed to support the business.
