Job summary

Stord is seeking a Parcel Area Manager to lead our Atlanta warehouse, overseeing sortation and dock management in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment. You will guide a team of associates and leads, ensuring safety and quality in daily operations.

Role requires experience with automated sortation systems and WMS, plus strong leadership and communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams and carriers. Flexibility for overtime is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two to four years’ experience with automated sortation systems and WMS in a high‑volume facility.
• Previous leadership experience and ability to manage carriers/drivers daily.
• Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience; strong organizational skills and time management.

Utilizes Order Management System and various types of material handling equipment.Job DescriptionWhat You'll Do:Lead and develop a team of warehouse associates and operations leads to deliver on daily goals.Ownership of Sortation, Dock Management, and shipping departmentWork closely with support staff (HR, Safety, Customer Service, Other Ops Leaders) to drive results.Address operational and personnel issues affecting functional area.Implement process improvements and workload efficiency mechanisms.Utilize workload planning tools and other resources to complete scheduled workload ensuring orders are fulfilled to meet standards.Investigate discrepancies and variances.Perform to quality standards in multiple functions.Perform additional duties as assigned.What You'll Need:Minimum of two to four years’ experience working with automated sortation systems, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and/or Dock Management platforms in a high-volume facility.Previous leadership experience.Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experienceAbility to manage carriers and drivers on a daily basisPossesses basic clerical and data entry skills.Possesses strong organizational and time management skills, driving tasks to completion.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
