Job summary

The University of Georgia's VetMed-Infectious Diseases Life Science lab is seeking a Research Associate-Life Science I to provide technical support for parasitology and molecular work, assist with high-throughput imaging, and help manage daily laboratory operations in a busy research setting.

You will train students, maintain supplies and records, ensure safety compliance, and collaborate with a PI and senior staff to advance livestock-related research and disease studies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field of science.
• Experience with parasitology and molecular assays preferred.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine parasitology and molecular laboratory procedures.
• Assist with high-throughput imaging and phenotyping.
• Support livestock research activities and sample collection.
• Maintain supplies, equipment, and waste disposal.
