Job summary

AmeriSchools in Phoenix seeks a Paraprofessional/Teacher's Aide to support student learning and classroom activities at our charter school campus. You will assist with lesson plans, help maintain a safe and nurturing environment, and ensure student safety while participating in staff meetings and trainings.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED with an associate degree or 60+ credits, or passing ADE assessments. CPR and IVP fingerprint clearance are required.

Qualifications & Mandatory Requirements

• High school diploma or GED AND an Associate’s Degree or higher, OR two years of study (equaling 60 or more credit hours) from an accredited institution of higher learning, OR obtained a passing score on one of the Arizona Department of Education approved assessments (ETS ParaPro Assessment {Praxis}, ACT Workkeys {Writing, Applied Mathematics & Reading for Information}, Master Teacher’s ParaEducator PD Now! {formerly ParaEducator Learning Network}).
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of various office equipment and educational software.
• Prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
• Must be able to lift up to 20lbs at times.
• Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Current CPR certification.
