POSITION REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Special Knowledge/Skills: Ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics. Ability to work well with children. Ability to communicate effectively.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Instructional Support Provide instruction to students under the direction of teacher; work with individual students or small groups. Assist teacher in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays. Help maintain neat and orderly classroom. Make teacher aware of special needs or problems of individual students. Support students with special needs, assisting teachers with instructional tasks, and ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment. One-on-one instruction and support to students with special needs. Ensuring student safety and well-being. Participate in staff development training programs to improve job performance. Participate in faculty meeting and special events as assigned.

Moderate standing; occasional kneeling, squatting, bending, and stooping
