Job summary

Appoquinimink School District is seeking a Full-Time Paraprofessional for multiple positions. Under the direction of the Building Principal, you will assist teachers with various tasks to promote student learning and well‑being.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or a Paraeducator Permit and the ability to work effectively with students and staff. You will support classroom instruction, monitor student performance, and maintain a safe learning environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and passing ParaPro scores or a minimum of 60 college credits.
• State of Delaware Paraeducator Permit required.
• Ability to work cooperatively with teachers, students, administrators, and parents.
• Experience working with students of varying abilities.
• Excellent communication, organization, and computer skills.
• Knowledge of IDEA, 504, and IEPs.

Responsibilities

• Assists in providing a safe and encouraging learning environment.
• Supports the classroom teacher in instruction.
• Monitors independent work and maintains records of student progress.
• Performs clerical duties and organizes instructional materials.
• Communicates effectively with staff and students.
