Job Family: Classified • Department: Bea Underwood Elementary • FLSA Status: Non‑Exempt • Pay Range: $16.00 – $28.00 per hour • Reports to: Building Principal • Job ID#: 1480

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate solid reading, writing, and math skills.
• Take advice on strategies to help students meet IEP goals.
• Maintain a caring, focused, and responsible disposition while working closely with a small number of students with severe needs.
• Conduct day‑to‑day duties, including small‑group teaching, 1‑on‑1 pull‑out, and in‑class support for specific student needs.
• Collaborate with teachers to appropriately modify assignments.
• Assist students with testing accommodations during classroom, district, state, and national assessments.
• Perform occasional school duties such as playground or lunchroom supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two‑year associate’s degree or 48 semester hours of verifiable college coursework, **OR** successful completion of the WorkKeys proficiency test.
• Licensed Certified Nursing Assistant in Colorado with CPR and First‑Aid certifications, or ability to obtain them.
• Ability to become CPI Restraint‑Trained.
• Preference for individuals who have taken education courses or have demonstrated experience working with young children.
• Ability to lift 30 lb.
• Valid Colorado driver’s license.
