Qualifications

• Experience working with children.
• A Head Start Preschool assistant teacher must meet at least one of the these criteria: CDA credential (preschool level) or state certificate meeting CDA requirements; or be enrolled in a program leading to an associate or bachelor’s degree; or be enrolled in a CDA credential program with completion within 2 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist certified personnel in achieving instructional goals through participation in curricular activities.
• Supervise students during classroom activities and transitions.
• Support instructional programs and student supervision as assigned by the school.
