Job summary

Humanus is hiring Full-Time Paraprofessionals (PCAs) to provide 1:1 academic and behavioral support for a student with special needs in the Reading, PA area. Location: Reading, PA. Schedule: Monday-Friday, school hours. Start: Immediate. Pay: $20.00–$23.00/hour.

You will work alongside school staff to help the student stay focused, engaged, and successful throughout the school day, with responsibilities including documenting progress and participating in trainings as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Experience working with K–12 students in a classroom setting preferred.
• PA Clearances within 1 year.
• CPR/First Aid certification current.
• TB test & Physical current.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 classroom and behavioral support.
• Implement the student’s IEP and behavior plan.
• Encourage participation and engagement throughout the school day.
• Assist during classroom activities, transitions, lunch, recess, and field trips.
• Document student progress and communicate with teachers and support staff.
• Assist with personal care or mobility needs when required.
• Attend required meetings and trainings.
• Help maintain a safe, positive learning environment.
