Cobb County School District is seeking an Instructional Paraprofessional to support classroom teachers and students. The role involves assisting with instructional activities, supervision, and managing classroom materials to enhance learning outcomes.

Essential duties include assisting with lesson plans, student progress, and school-wide activities while maintaining a professional appearance and adherence to district policies.

• Hold an associate degree or higher in any subject from a GaPSC-accepted accredited institution.
• Have completed 2 years (60 semester hours) of college coursework above the remedial level at a GaPSC-accepted accredited institution with a grade of "C" or better.
• Hold a minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent and have passed the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment
• Certification/License Required: Must maintain Georgia Paraprofessional Certificate which includes in-service training related to position
• Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Written and oral communication

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Works with students in completing educational activities under the supervision of the classroom teacher.

Requirements

• Educational Level: Hold an associate degree or higher in any subject from a GaPSC-accepted accredited institution;

• Physical Activities: Routine physical activities required to fulfill job responsibilities; able to lift maximum 60 pounds; PE Paraprofessionals only-lessons frequently include demonstrating throwing, catching, kicking and striking; ability to get down on the floor and up again is frequently required to assist students; some movement of mats and equipment is expected
