• Uses Agency-approved treatment techniques in supervising and educating students after training.
• Demonstrates familiarity with behavior management and behavior education techniques used at TRS.
• Acts as a role model and sets an appropriate example for students, staff, and the community.
• Demonstrates familiarity with the IEP by using resources to implement students' academic program under supervision.
• Engages students in active learning as directed by the classroom teacher.
• Provides support for all staff in the classroom setting and ensures Education Department policies are upheld.

For this role, relationship building is essential, as you are asked to assist the students' needs in the areas of education, therapeutic/behavioral support, and hygiene as needed.The Richardson School is an alternative placement option for local districts to access for their students with significant needs and behavioral concerns. Our students are typically diagnosed with a combination of developmental or neurological disabilities and emotional, behavioral or mental health disorders.
