Job summary

The DeKalb County School District is seeking an experienced Paraprofessional (CBVT) to support students with diverse learning needs. You will provide one-on-one instruction, assist with individual goals, and help implement lesson plans under moderate supervision in a collaborative classroom environment.

Responsibilities include mobility support, use of educational software, and regular communication with parents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with related experience.
• Associate's degree preferred with related experience.
• Paraprofessional certificate approved by the Professional Standards Commission.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with classroom activities and lesson implementation.
• Provide one-on-one instruction aligned to IEP goals.
• Support small group instruction and reinforce lessons.
• Assist with students' physical needs including mobility and feeding when necessary.
• Use educational software to enhance learning and track progress.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about student progress.
• Supervise students during non-instructional times and ensure safety.
• Document progress and collect instructional data for analysis.
• Coordinate project tasks and perform additional duties as assigned.
