Job summary

Space Coast Junior/Senior High in Cocoa, FL is seeking a ParaProfessional-ESOL to support ESOL-certified staff, assist in instructional activities, and supervise students to help achieve instructional goals. The position is a 9-month contract with a 6.5-hour workday.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and either 60 college hours with a ParaPro score of 457+ or an AA/AS or higher. Bilingual ability in English and the students' language is required, with district ESOL

• Minimum of 60 semester hours from an accredited educational institution with at least 30 semester hours in general education core curriculum and/or child development and education or successful completion of the ParaPro test with a score of 457 or higher.
• Experience working with children in a classroom setting.
• Bilingual; required to be fluent in English and fluent in the language of the students for the allocated position. Must be approved by District ESOL Coordinator. PARAPROFESSIONAL II (GRADE 19): EDUCATION AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: REQUIRED:
• Associate’s degree or higher from an accredited educational institution required.
• Experience working with children in a classroom setting.
