Start: 2026-2027 school year; compensation starts at $15.50–$17 per hour, DOE, with duties including supervising campus activities and assisting with instruction.

The role emphasizes assisting students one-on-one or in small groups, maintaining a safe classroom, substituting for teachers when needed, and collaborating with staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and passed the paraprofessional exam OR Associate’s degree or higher.
• Prior experience working with children in a school setting.
• Ability to obtain a Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support campus-wide activities (lunch, recess, arrival, dismissal) to ensure student safety.
• Assist lead teachers in delivering instruction and managing classroom activities.
• Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to reinforce skills and support individualized learning plans.
• Maintain a safe, orderly, and inclusive classroom environment; substitute for lead teachers as needed.
• Prepare instructional materials and assist with grading or documentation as directed.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to meet academic and social-emotional needs of students.
