Job summary

National Heritage Academies' North Dayton School of Discovery in Dayton, OH, is seeking a full-time Title I paraprofessional to support students in grades K-8. The role includes instructional assistance and implementing targeted interventions under the supervision of classroom teachers.

You will help with reading, writing, and mathematics, collaborate with teachers and leaders, and navigate school systems and technology to support student learning.

Qualifications

• Must meet state requirements to work as a Title I paraprofessional.
• Preferred experience with school-age children.
• Ability to assist in reading, writing, and math instruction.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support to students needing intervention, one-on-one or in groups.
• Assist with teaching reading, writing, and/or mathematics.
• Participate in professional development and articulation meetings with teachers and parents.
• Support the whole-student approach and classroom routines.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assess student abilities and provide instructional assistance for students in need of academic intervention through 1:1 or group workshops as directed by the classroom teacher and designated instructional leader.
• Commit to educating the whole student – academically, morally, and socially.
• Implement result-driven curriculum to achieve significant growth from fall to spring testing.
• Attend professional development and articulation meetings with classroom teachers and parents as required.

Qualifications

Must meet state requirements for being a Title 1 paraprofessional.
