Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher in providing developmentally appropriate activities for students by implementing concrete learning activities that meet varied developmental needs.
• Assist classroom teacher in getting students into and out of buildings and classrooms, including lifting and carrying when needed.
• Assist teacher during activities such as field trips and emergency drills.
• Assist teacher with classroom routines such as snack time, washing dishes, clean-up, bathroom and other tasks.
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children; perform duties as assigned by the principal.
• For HEALTH positions: position will include feeding, changing diapers and toileting children.
