Job summary

Achieve Beyond Pediatric Therapy & Autism Services seeks part-time paraprofessionals to support ABA services for children aged 2–21 across Long Island and surrounding areas. Starting hourly rate is $20–$25, with pay depending on experience and availability.

Responsibilities include providing direct ABA instruction with BCBA guidance, data collection, and regular family communication to reinforce home and community strategies. Strong teamwork and flexible home/clinic scheduling are valued.

Qualifications

  • Passion for working with children and families.
  • At least 2 years with special needs children ages 2–21.
  • ABA experience preferred.
  • Complete Achieve Beyond training and pass competency exam.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct ABA instruction according to the BCBA educational plan.
  • Participate in team meetings with BCBA and other therapists.
  • Debrief families after sessions and share home strategies.
  • Collect daily data and update the program book weekly.
  • Maintain confidentiality per state and federal regulations.

Achieve Beyond was founded in 1995 and is continuously growing to meet the needs of developmentally disabled children through our ABA, speech, occupational, and physical therapy. We currently offer our services in the entire metro New York area (including the five boroughs of NYC, Hudson Valley, and Long Island) and Albany, New Jersey, Connecticut, Delaware,and the Virginia/ Maryland/DC area. We specialize in conducting initial evaluations and providing ongoing services in home, community, and clinic settings. Now Hiring: Part-time, Hourly Paraprofessionals

Starting Hourly Rate: $20-$25, depending on experience and availability

LOCATION: Cases Available Throughout Long Island

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide direct ABA instruction according to the educational plan outlined by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst
  • Participate in collaborative team meetings with BCBA and other Behavior Therapists on the case
  • Communicate frequently with family members by providing debriefs at the end of each session, as well as resources and strategies that can be implemented in the home and community to promote consistency
  • Collect daily data and organize the child's program book weekly
  • Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families in accordance with State and Federal regulations

REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a passion for working with children, families, and therapists!

  • At least 2 years working with special needs children ages 2-21 in a supervised setting

OR

successful completion of or current enrollment in an undergraduate/graduate program in psychology, healthcare, human services, education, or a related field

  • Experience using ABA preferred
  • Successful completion of 30-hour classroom/online/clinical observationtraining provided by Achieve Beyond and a passing grade on competency exam upon completion of training

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be self-motivated, a team player, and exercise patience/professionalism
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills with children, family members, and supervisor
  • Passionate about helping children and families, and providing services of the highest standards!
  • Must be comfortable working in a home-based and/or clinicalsetting

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases including but not limited to driving a personal vehicle, walking, and/or use of public transportation such as a bus or train.
  • The ability to climb and descend staircases
  • The ability to lift 10 pounds regularly
  • The ability to sit on the floor, kneel, and/or crawl for extended periods

Compensation is determined based on experience and education and will be discussed during the interview process.
