Scoot Education is hiring dedicated educators and paraprofessionals to support students with special needs in K-12 settings. You will work 1:1 or in small groups, build rapport, and help create a safe learning environment.

Paid training and ongoing professional development are provided. You’ll be part of a team that values empathy, growth, and collaboration while earning weekly paychecks as a W-2 employee.

• Experience or interest in Special Education is a plus.

Daily Pay Range:

$23.00 – $24.00

Pay will vary for day-to-day assignments and is typically more for long-term placements. Pay varies by certification, school, and assignment.

**Role Requirements:**

• Passion for education and putting students first
• An empathetic nature, a growth mindset, and a drive to be the best you can be
• 48 College credits, Associate’s Degree, Bachelors Degree or CBEST
• Three professional references, including at least one from a previous supervisor
• State & federal background checks

TB risk assessment or test

You’ll stand out if you have:

• Worked with children who have Special Education needs
• Spent time in Special Education settings
• Any Special Education specific training
• ABA experience (Applied Behavior Analysis)
• Experience working in K-12 schools
• Experience with assisting in various mod to severe scenarios such as Toileting; Personal 1:1 Care; Non-Verbal; Challenging or Aggressive Behaviors in the Classroom

What you’ll do:

• Work closely with students with special needs in small group or 1:1 settings
• Build rapport and trust with the children in your care
• Foster a safe and nurturing learning environment
• Support resource teacher(s) in delivering IEP’s (individual education plans)
• Take direction from lead educators and assist when needed
• Some roles include assisting various mod to severe scenarios such as Toileting; Personal 1:1 Care; Non-Verbal; Challenging or Aggressive Behaviors in the Classroom
• Comfortable working with medically fragile/high behavior situations
• Sitting, standing, and walking, and able to lift up to 30 lbs while safely assisting students
• Observe and communicate across varied environments, incl. indoor and outdoor settings
• Additional role requirements will be in the handbook and shared during the interview process
